Trade Show Design

About This Project: I was asked to create a range of marketing materials for three trade shows by my client, a leading manufacturer of push-pull connectors in the medical, testing and acoustic industries.

The main challenge was the scope; I was tasked with design two large backdrop banners (20x10 feet each), consider a booth layout, create walkway signs, web and email banners and e-blast ads showcasing the company's latest innovations. I recognized the need to future-proof the client's materials and created templates for future trade show collateral to maintain a unified design across all channels that could be easily updated when needed.

The look and feel of the design was intended to reflect the reliability and quality of the products and to attract more visitors to the booths, ideally potential new and returning customers. The materials were developed for three separate trade show events, production time spanning nine months. I was responsible for leading the design process and managing the communication between client and vendor requirements.

My thought process going into the project was to ensure that the company's brand was prominent and recognizable from a distance in a crowded trade show environment. I used the client's existing brand guide and imagery as the main elements of the design. I also incorporated some creative touches, such as using the chocolate block pattern of the push-pull connectors as a background motif and text framing device. I aimed to create a professional, modern and eye-catching design that would clearly convey the excellence of the brand and thus effectively lead to an increase in product sales.
